Prof. Bong-Rae Cho is a Distiguished Research Professor and Professor Emeritus at Department of Chemistry, Korea University. He graduated Department of Chemistry, Seoul National University in 1971 and received his Ph. D. from Texas Tech University in 1980.

His research interests include two-photon probes for bioimaging, organic nonlinear optical materials, and organic reaction mechanisms.

 He received several awards including 3.1. Munwha Prize (2008), Thomson Scientific Citation Laureate Award (2007), Academic Excellence Prize, Korean Chemical Soc. (2003).
